Travel, Hotel, Food, and More

Travel to Boulder from Denver International Airport is an easy 45-minute drive.  The most popular shuttle services are Green Ride Boulder and SuperShuttle.

The Millennium Hotel is the only conference hotel, and it is walking distance to the University of Colorado Boulder student union (UMC), where the conference will take place. We have a conference room block with $139/night room rate.  You can access our room block here:

Boulder is a casual city, and we’re certainly not a fancy conference.  Please feel free to dress comfortably.

Because we are at about 5,400 ft. elevation, you may feel dizzy and dehydrated.  Please drink lots of water and eat regularly.  This can help tremendously.

The main pedestrian area, Pearl Street Mall, is packed with restaurants.  If you want to go out to dinner in Boulder, this is the place to go.  There are also restaurants on Walnut Avenue and some of the numbered streets that link Pearl to Walnut.  A few of our favorites: SALT, Black Cat, Aji, Leaf Vegetarian, Jax Fish House, Hapa Sushi, Zeal, Pizzeria Locale, The Kitchen, OAK at 14th, Dushanbe Tea House, The Mediterranean.

If you are able, we recommend soaking up some of Boulder’s natural beauty on any number of hiking trails.  Two iconic Boulder options: Chautauqua Park, featuring Boulder’s gorgeous Flatirons that you see in all of the photos of Boulder, and Mount Sanitas (the valley trail is an easier hike; the mountain trail is strenuous).
